From September 12th-14th the best track riders from across the Province will be descending on the Burnaby Velodrome to contest Provincial Championships. Also the finale of the inaugural BC Premiere Track Cup, and conveniently set in the lead up to Canadian Track Cycling National Championships, this year’s Provincial Championships are poised to be one of the biggest track races in Western Canada.
Categories will include: U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, Elite 1/2, Elite 3/4, and Masters (both men and women).
Similar to the first race in the BC Premiere Track Cup, all events are part of an Omnium. The Omnium that riders will contest is based somewhat on age and ability in order to mirror Cycling Canada’s model for Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD). Please refer to the Schedule for a comprehensive list of Omnium events by category.
Since this is also a Provincial Championship event, riders will not be able to compete in individual events across Omniums, only events within the Omnium in which they have registered. However, riders may register for both Omniums.
