VICTORIA – The Canadian Sport School Victoria-PISE is proud to announce the 4th incoming class roster for the 2014-15 school year. Following our largest and most competitive application process to date, we have selected 30 student-athletes who will begin the Canadian Sport School program on September 8th at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence.
The athlete roster is extremely diverse this year as there is representation from 14 schools in the Greater Victoria area and 14 sports represented from both summer and winter disciplines. Fifteen students will be continuing in the program from last year while we also welcome 15 new student-athletes into the program. This coming year will mark our largest graduating class to date with twelve graduating seniors.
The Canadian Sport School roster is headlined by returning Year 3 athlete Lexi De Armond (Junior National Field Hockey Team), and Year 2 athletes Matt Henderson (Pan Am Junior Medallist, Doubles Squash) and Caroline Crossley (Rugby Canada Development Program). For more information about any of our student-athletes, please visit the MEET THE STUDENT-ATHLETES page on our website.
“We are extremely excited for this upcoming year at the Canadian Sport School. We have an amazing group of high level athletes coming into the program this year and when you bring thirty high performance athletes together who are all striving for the same goals, it is a very special environment where everyone challenges each other to be better.” Jennifer Joyce, Lead Coach
“It’s a privilege to work with students with big goals and dreams and be able to assist them on their path to excellence. I get to learn and grow along side of them and raise my standards, as well as theirs, as the environment at the Canadian Sport School exemplifies excellence.” Christina Kadin, Teacher
